Just wondering... I have one Lindsey that says " American Gril" and another that says " American Girl".. is there a way to tell which one is older? They made a batch that said "gril" and then realized the mistake and fixed it afterwards? Just curious... never noticed it before until someone pointed it out on the board!

It is my understanding that American Gril was first, and they fixed it later. I heard that before somewhere here on the board . . . .

Another question... anyone ever received a "brand new, never removed from box" doll without the neck strap around her? Two of my dolls have arrived with the white plastic piece laying on the bottom of the box but no rubber band..... just wondering if that has ever happened to anyone else, however silly it may sound.... " Thinking from a collector standpoint for value purposes". Thanks!
